OneRepublic Cancels Tourdates

MICHEGAN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — OneRepublic has been forced to cancel a string of tourdates after frontman Ryan Tedder tore his Achilles tendon just before the band was slated to take the stage at Central Michigan University. Unfortunately for Tedder and OneRepublic fans, the injury required immediate surgery and forced the band to postpone a string of dates.

The surgery has reportedly gone well and Tedder is recovering in anticipation of returning to the road in mid-May.

"I want to apologize to all of our fans holding tickets to the canceled shows," said Tedder. "We hope to reschedule shows in these areas as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone for the get well soon messages too! I’m looking forward to being back on stage as soon as possible."

The canceled dates include:

May 2 – New Brunswick, NJ – Rutgers University
May 3 – Albany – SUNY University at Albany
May 4 – East Rutherford – NJ Bamboozle Festival
May 6 – Toronto – Kool Haus
