Original Bon Jovi Members Are Reuniting For Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction

CLEVELAND, OH (CelebrityAccess) — All four original members of Bon Jovi will reunite to play several songs for their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction on April 14.

Jon Bon Jovi will be joined by drummer Tico Torres, keyboardist David Bryan, and bassist Alec John Such, and guitarist Richie Sambora who left the band in 1994 and 2013, respectively.

Bon Jovi will be inducted by Howard Stern. During a January appearance on “The Howard Stern Show”, Jon Bon Jovi revealed that Stern was his first choice to induct the band in to the hall of fame.

“The truth is, I had hoped this day was going to come and … initially you think about these big rock stars and the truth is I only had one choice,” he told Stern. “Our careers have paralleled in a lot of ways — whether it was the ups or the downs — we’ve come through everything together and we do this at this point because we love the people we work with … and the truth is nobody knows not only me but the members of the band as well as Howard.

This will mark the first time Such has played with the band since being fired in 2001. During a conference call promoting Bon Jovi’s ongoing tour, Torres confirmed speaking with his former band mate.

“Speaking to Alec on the phone, it was wonderful,” said Torres. “We took that journey together at certain times as a group, and I think it’s wonderful we can re-enact that — not only for us, but for the fans. I think when you get together with old friends, there’s always going to be some deep emotions within that.”

Bon Jovi will kick off the second North American leg of their This House is Not For Sale tour on March 14 in Denver, Colorado.
