OAKLAND, CA (Hypebot) – As part of filings with the Security And Exchange Commission for its upcoming IPO, Pandora revealed that early in 2011 it had received a subpoena from a federal grand jury investigation related to information sharing on its Apple and Android mobile applications.
In the filing, Pandora said it had been informed that it was "not a specific target of the investigation" and that they believed that similar subpoenas had been issued "on an industry-wide basis to the publishers of numerous other smartphone applications."
