Paquin Picks Up Noms


TORONTO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A slew of Paquin Entertainment artist picked up noms for this year's Western Canadian Music Awards, including the Road Hammers, Deep Dark Woods, Ndidi Onukwulu, The Higgins and Skavenjah.

Furthermore, the Company’s founder and CEO, Gilles Paquin not only received 2 nominations, but will also be recognized this year with the Industry Builder Award. The 7th annual event will be hosted by Brandon, Manitoba from September 17 to 20.

The Higgins – Country Recording of the Year for Real Thing
The Deep Dark Woods – Roots Duo/Group Recording of the Year for Winter Hours

Gilles Paquin is being recognized for his inaugural Multi Media nomination (Buffy Sainte-Marie: A Multimedia Life), a repeat nod for Manager of the Year (Randy Bachman and Buffy Sainte-Marie) and the Industry Builder Award, which honors an individual who has had a profound and lasting impact on the music industry.

Gilles' entertainment career began over 30 years ago started as a as a highly successful concert and special events producer and promoter in Winnipeg.
