Ride Along 2 Cruises Universal To The Top of Domestic Box Office


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Universal is all smiles this weekend as Ride Along 2 is number one at the domestic box office with $34 million. Disney’s Star Wars still holds on tight to the top spot globally.


Rentrak's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "Disney's 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' does it again, leading the box office charge as it adds an additional $72.4 million globally in its fifth weekend in cinemas, thus bringing its total to nearly $1.9 billion around the globe as it sets its sights on the $2 billion club. Fox's 'The Revenant' is also a big winner as it builds on critical and awards-season buzz with nearly $150 million worldwide to date and climbing."
