ROSKILDE, Denmark (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for Denmark's popular Roskilde Festival have announced the remaining 77 artists, filling out the full lineup for the 2017 edition of the event.
The newly-announced list of headliners includes British indie-rockers the XX, Lorde, Solange, Justice, Father John Misty, Halsey and Nicolas Jaar. The fest also announced a slate of Nordic nations, including Norwegian Sigrid, Swedish DIY prodigy Shitkid, Icelandic aYia, and Danish trio Irah.
As well, the festival announced some up-and-coming young artists for this year's bill as well, including Princess Nokia, G-Eazy, Lil Uzi Vert and Bryson Tiller.
"It's a crazy, climactic feeling to finally present the full line-up with 173 acts who collectively represent what we think is the most defining, challenging and relevant music in 2017. Artists like Solange, The Weeknd, Lorde and The XX have generated so much buzz around the world at a young age. They are, to us, proof that the world won't run out of headliners anytime soon. They represent both the present and the future, performing alongside emerging artists such as Sigrid, Princess Nokia, and Shame," Roskilde Head of Programme Anders Wahrén said.
Roskilde Festival is 100 % non-profit and created by dedicated volunteers. All profits are donated to cultural and humanitarian purposes by the Roskilde Festival Charity Society. This year's festival will take place from June 24th – July 1st in Roskilde, Denmark. – Staff Writers
