Simone Bosé Exits Parlophone Spain

MADRID, Spain (VIP NEWS) — Simone Bosé, chairman of Parlophone Music Spain & Portugal, has announced he will leave his post on September 30.
Bosé’s departure comes in the wake of EMI and Warner's merger in Spain.

Bosé was the head of EMI’s operations in Spain for almost a decade, and oversaw the development of artists like Bebe and Pablo Alborán. Following the merger, he was appointed chairman of Parlophone.

There are no plans to replace Bosé. Warner’s operation in Spain will remain under the purview of chairman José Carlos Sánchez, who in turn reports to Iñigo Zabala, the Miami-based president of Warner Music Latin America/Iberian Penninsula.

“With much sadness, but also with much pride and happiness after obtaining so many successes and triumphs for our artists, it’s now time to say goodbye,” wrote Bosé in a farewell email. “This closes a very important professional stage in my life which has meant much and which I will always carry with me.”
