The City of Sault Ste Marie Ontario has awarded a naming
rights sales and servicing contract to Front Row Marketing Services, a firm that specializes in the negotiations and sale of venue naming rights, for the new Sault Ste Marie Sports & Entertainment Centre. Front Row Marketing Services is the consultant who negotiated the naming rights to the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario.
"The corporate naming partner will enjoy high profile status at the arena for Soo Greyhounds hockey, and other Entertainment events, along with all of the unique benefits associated with a "naming" partnership" said Nick Apostle, commissioner community services, Sault Ste Marie. "Front Row is prepared to meet with prospective partners to discuss a business opportunities that addresses the company's core business for the arena and other City facilities. Our goal is to develop a long-term, mutually beneficial corporate partnership for the arena and the City."
The primary tenant at the SSM Sports & Entertainment Centre is the Soo Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. The arena will accommodate 5,000 spectators for on-ice events and up to 6,500 for concerts. There will be 13 Luxury Suites with a potential for 25 more to be added in the near future. The new arena design will also take into account the opportunity to host other events, including, but not limited to concerts, trade-shows, family shows, youth sports tournaments and festivals.
