The historic Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, the last place Buddy Holly performed, plans to add a new intimate
160-seat room designed for the singer-songwriter, rockabilly, Americana,
alternative, jazz and contemporary rock artists.
Scheduled to open the second week in June, the room will have live
entertainment Tuesday-Thursday nights, and possibly Sundays. Acts for
consideration should have a distributed CD and a tour.
