ST. PAUL, Minn. (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ron Maddox co-founder of the Taste of Minnesota died at the age of 72 due to complications after a Stroke on Friday February 19th.
The Taste of Minnesota has been a popular music festival in St. Paul every summer since 1982 when Ron Maddox and co-founder Dick Broeker started the 4th of July weekend music and food fest almost 28 years ago.
A statement was released by Andy Faris, managing partner of the Taste of Minnesota. It read: "This is a sad day for the Taste of Minnesota family. It was almost 30 years ago that Ron spearheaded the team who developed Taste of Minnesota and for the past 14 years he has kept that vision alive by personally running the show. Our thoughts are with his family at this time and we hope they will take some solace in knowing that the Taste of Minnesota, which was a passion of Ron's for so many years, will continue to thrive and celebrate the many great things he loved about our state." –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
