Veteran actor Idris Elba had a big night, winning two awards for his roles in "Beasts of No Nation" and "Luther."
Leonardio DiCaprio won the trophy for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor for his role in "The Revenant" and Brie Larson won Female Actor in a Leading Role for the film ""Room."
Carol Burnett was awarded the Life Achievement Award, which was presented to her by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who offered a funny, yet moving speech about how Burnett's comedy influenced their own lives and careers.
