Tixdaq Appoints Steve Machin To Senior Role

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Entertainment ticketing consultancy Tixdaq has hired senior Live Nation executive Steve Machin to spearhead its commercial strategy.

As Executive Vice President – Commercial Strategy, Machin will be responsible for developing Tixdaq’s commercial, strategic and marketing relationships in the ticketing and wider live entertainment sectors.
Machin joins Tixdaq from Live Nation-owned UltraStar Entertainment where he was VP of International Business Development. Previously he was Head of Music Services for Ticketmaster Europe.

Tixdaq founder Will Muirhead said, “Steve’s appointment is a significant development in Tixdaq’s mission to become a trusted supplier of information to the business and consumer markets. Steve has an unrivalled network of relationships and understanding of the ticketing industry.”

Steve Machin said, “Tixdaq’s business intelligence has the potential to transform the live industry in the same way that the advent of the Official Charts transformed the recorded music business. By continuing our dialogue with event stakeholders we are developing a robust market view across the music, sport and theatre categories that combined with sector specific insight will benefit everyone involved in the live space. I believe that Tixdaq intelligence will help to shape the future of live entertainment – arguably one of the most dynamic sectors in the entertainment business."

Last week Tixdaq launched a weekly chart highlighting the best-selling music tickets in the UK ticket resale market.

Machin’s appointment follows the appointment of former EMI strategist Will Waddington as Chief Operations and Financial Officer in July.–by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
