LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Singer Tom Jones announced that he is returning to the stage following the recent death of his wife.
In a post on his official website, Jones wrote: "Seeing some unexpected press over the weekend, I came to the conclusion that singing really is my best therapy. Music is so important to me—it’s my life, and through the brightest and darkest of times it has embedded a soundtrack to all my memories.
"So, it means a huge amount to be able to continue to perform for such a loyal and giving audience; your support has been uplifting and doesn’t go unnoticed. See you all at the shows this Summer."
Jones will make his return for his tour opener on June 8th at Hampton Court Palace near London.
Jones canceled a series of dates in Asia last in April, citing at the time a "serious illness in his immediate family."
Jones' wife, Lady Melinda Rose Woodward, died on April 10th at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, after a battle with cancer. – Staff Writers
