LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — UK-based media and entertainment company Global announced that they've expanded their festival portfolio after taking majority stakes in Victorious Festival and Hideout.
Victorious is an award-winning family-oriented festival in Portsmouth that draws 100,000 visitors across the August Bank Holiday weekend. The line-up for the festival this year includes Stereophonics, Madness, Franz Ferdinand, and Elbow.
Hideout, which is returning for its 7th year in 2017, is an EDM event staged on held on Zrce Beach in Croatia. The festival regularly sells out and in 2016, attracted more than 20,000 EDM fans to the event according to festival organizers. The lineup for 2017 includes Stormzy, Diplo, Jamie Jones and Major Lazer.
The investment in the two new festivals makes Global the second largest festival operator in the UK. They also have controlling stakes in Snowbombing (Austria and Canada), Festival No.6, the Rewind Festivals, South West Four, Field Day, Boardmasters, Y Not, Truck, Transition, and Electric Elephant, with interests in Lost Village and Standon Calling.
