(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Although unfairly dragged into the messy situation affecting Club Diesel, Rich Lupo can assure you that his legendary Providence concert venue Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel has nothing to worry about.
“Things will be exactly as they are,” he told CelebrityAccess, “or, in fact, within two years, we might be doing our shows until 2AM.”
Lupo explained that despite earlier worries that the Club Diesel controversy may lead the city to pulling the joint liquor license the two venues share, “the city has no intention to do anything to Lupo’s.
“If a negative Decision comes down on Diesel, it will take about two years to be finalized. In this worst-case scenario, Lupo’s would purchase Diesel’s lease.”
Lupo has owned the venue in Providence for 30 years, and has always been well-supported by the city. He pointed out that the venue even moved into their current location to help the city and the mayor, as they looked toward urban redevelopment projects.
Noting that no Lupo’s shows or scheduling will be harmed by the current situation at Club Diesel, Lupo assured that, “There’s nothing that’s going to adversely affect Lupo’s.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
