LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Spotify has named James Duffett-Smith as Global Head of Publisher Relations, with a portfolio that includes maintaining the streaming music service's relationships with music publishers, and performing rights organizations.
Previously, Duffett-Smith served as the Head of Licensing Business Affairs at Spotify, overseeing global music licensing issues on the master and publishing side from both New York and London since joining the company in 2009.
Prior to joining Spotify, Duffett-Smith was Director, Legal and Business Affairs for Fox Interactive Media in Europe. Based in London, he worked as part of the legal team responsible for major properties including MySpace.com and ign.com.
