LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) The “Who Bit Beyoncé” mystery has heated up to the point where even the director of television series “American Crime Story” has jokingly decided to dedicate a season to it.

The whole mess began when comedian and “Girls Trip” star Tiffany Haddish told GQ magazine that she attended a Jay-Z concert afterparty in Los Angeles in December.

“There was this actress there that’s just, like, doing the mostest,” Haddish told GQ. “She bit Beyoncé in the face.

“Beyoncé stormed away…went up to Jay-Z, and was like, ‘Jay! Come here! This bitch – ’ and snatched him. … They went to the back of the room. I was like, ‘What just happened?’ And Beyoncé’s friend walked up and was like, ‘Can you believe this bitch just bit Beyoncé?’”

Haddish said she told Queen Bey that the actress would get her “ass beat” that night but Beyoncé responded, “‘Tiffany, no. Don’t do that. That bitch is on drugs. She not even drunk. The bitch is on drugs. She not like that all the time. Just chill.’”

The article was published on Monday, and, 48 hours later, it has turned into the biggest hive-mind investigation since the “Serial” podcast and “Making of a Murderer” documentary.

“#WhoBitBeyonce: What You Need To Know” reported CNN, listing the prime suspects, the people CNN wanted to interview as witnesses, and the backlash.

Suspects have included Lena Dunham, Sara Foster and “Love & Basketball” star Sanaa Lathan, but Dunham was the first to be asked to be removed from the lineup of Usual Suspects.

“As the patron saint of ‘She would do that …’ I didn’t,” Dunham tweeted.

Meanwhile, “American Crime Story” producer Ryan Murphy tweeted yesterday that his next TV project will be “American Crime Story: Who Bit Beyoncé?”

It’s happening. Who should play Beyonce?

Haddish has claimed to received threats from the Beyhive, and has responded to them via social media.

“y’all forgot I am in the hive too and just know this I will always speak my truth,” Haddish wrote. “That’s not going to stop. The Queen 🐝 kept me from doing something half of you Bees would have done no matter what. To me she is a Shero and a Great person I have learned so much from her in just a short amount of time. So no matter what she has a Unicorn🦄 that has her back.”
