UNCASVILLE, CT (CelebrityAccess) — Celebrated rock band Bon Jovi performed a sold-out concert at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday night, the same night that HBO broadcast the band’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

In addition to the honor bestowed in Cleveland, Mohegan Sun’s VP of Sports & Entertainment, Tom Cantone, was on hand to present the band with a plaque honoring them for setting the record as the highest grossing act in the arena’s long history.

The concert also marked another milestone for the Mohegan Sun Arena, which passed the 12 million mark in arena attendance since it first opened its doors in 2001.

With over 130 million albums sold worldwide, Bon Jovi has been a touring monster over the years, with more than 2,800 concerts performed in 50 countries for more than 35 million fans. And the band has the ticket grosses to match, with sales of more than $1 billion worldwide in just the past decade.

Bon Jovi is currently on the road with their “The This House Is Not for Sale Tour” the band’s first North American run since 2013’s “Because We Can: The Tour”
