BOZEMAN, Montana (CelebrityAccess) –Montana-based promoter Logjam Presents announced plans to develop a new 1,500 capacity concert venue and event center in Bozeman, Montana.
The planned facility will be located in Midtown Bozeman on the corner of North 7th Avenue and West Short Street, Logjam said in a press release. Bozeman, with a population of about 40,000, is the 4th largest city in the state of Montana.
“We are very excited to expand into the Bozeman market. Logjam Presents has been looking at Bozeman for a few years, but was waiting for the right location. We feel North 7th Avenue is a great, centrally located spot that will allow many of our customers to walk and bike to concerts,” Logjam boss Nick Checota said.
“Currently Bozeman does not have an adequate facility that can accommodate artists who perform for crowds of 500 to 2,000 people, causing many artists to route past Bozeman. As a result, many Bozeman residents travel to Missoula to attend concerts. The new venue will allow Bozeman concert goers to see their favorite artists in their own community,” he added.
Checota said he expects that the new venue will provide a performance space for about 80 shows a year, and provide a key routing stop for artists performing at venues such as the 1,500-capacity Wilma and the 600-capacity Top Hat Lounge, two Missoula venues which are managed by Logjam Presents.
The venue will also be available for private functions, such as wedding receptions, corporate parties, and community events, Logjam said.
Construction is slated to begin in the latter half of the summer and is expected to be ready for concerts by the late spring or early summer of 2019.
