LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — John Pantle has reportedly departed from his post as Vice President of Concerts at APA.
In an email to staff obtained by Billboard, APA’s Michael Conway wrote: “John Pantle will be exiting the agency as of today (Nov. 1). We are grateful for the contributions John has made to the company over the last nine years. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
A source at APA with knowledge of the situation said that Pantle’s exit from the agency was amicable.
Pantle served as Vice Presidents of Concerts at APA since 2015, but joined the company in 2009, after a stint at UTA where he was a senior agent in the music department. Prior to APA, Pantle handled both national and international tours at the Agency Group.
Pantle’s past experience also includes talent buying, including serving as national booking director for the Knitting Factory venues in both New York and Los Angeles, where he oversaw the expansion of both venues as well as all marketing operations.
He got his start in the industry as a talent buyer at the Los Angeles House of Blues and later became head of development for the HOB Club Network.
Pantle’s exit was first reported by Pollstar.
