NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — With the Thanksgiving holiday just days away, Grammy Award winner Kelly Clarkson is the latest headliner to be announced for this year’s Macy’s Day Parade.
Clarkson joins a bill that already featured John Legend, Diana Ross, Rita Ora, Martina McBride, the Barenaked Ladies, Fifth Harmony’s Ally Brooke, Bazzi, Bad Bunny, Sugarland, Anika Noni Rose, Ashley Tisdale, Carly Pearce, Ella Mai, Kane Brown, and Pentatonix.
The event, which has taken in midtown Manhattan since 1924, is watched annually by an estimated 50 million viewers, with more than 3.5 million people turning out for the festivities in 2017.
In addition to the musical performances, the parade also features the iconic giant balloon portraying popular cartoon characters, as well a variety of floats, marching bands, cheerleaders, dancers, and more than 1,000 clowns.
The parade will proceed down 34th Street and will be broadcast from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Nov. 22nd via NBC.
