LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Kobalt Music has inked a worldwide deal with rapper-singer-songwriter-producer Roddy Ricch.
The exclusive deal reportedly gives Ricch full administration of his catalog in addition to publishing, creative services and synch for all of his future works, according to Billboard.
Ricch launched his career with the 2017 mixtape Feed Tha Streets, followed by the EP Be 4 Tha Fame. His 2018 mixtape Feed Tha Streets II landed at No. 36 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Ricch has also landed five entries on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, including as a feature artists alongside Hit-Boy on Nipsey Hussle’s “Racks in the Middle,” which peaked at No. 11. Additionally, he has appeared on tracks by Meek Mill (“Splash Warning” Ft. Future and Young Thug) and Marshmello (“Project Dreams”).
“Roddy’s versatility as an artist is one of a kind and allows him to successfully jump into any genre,” said Sam Taylor, Kobalt executive vp creative, in announcing Ricch’s signing. “He’s incredible and fresh for the future of Kobalt.”
