ATLANTA (CelebrityAccess) — Cardi B announced she’s dropping out of the ONE Musicfest in Atlanta after she was hospitalized with an unspecified medical emergency.
She broke the news to fans via social media, writing: “I’m sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency for the last couple of days and I won’t be able to perform at One MusicFest. It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there. Bardi Gang – thank you for understanding and I’ll be back better and stronger soon. Don’t worry. Love yall. – Cardi B.”
She did not provide any details on the nature of the medical emergency but appeared in a hospital bed during a livestream earlier this week. She gave birth to her third child in September and is currently in the midst of a divorce from her husband, Migos rapper Offset.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper was scheduled for a headlining slot at the festival on Saturday night, along with Earth, Wind & Fire, Ari Lennox, Nelly, Fantasia, and more.
Organizers for the festival confirmed the news on their own social media, stating: Hey #OMFFam! Unfortunately, @iamcardib announced that she is no longer available to join us this year due to ongoing health issues. Let’s all keep her in our prayers for a full recovery! We are working hard to find a replacement at this late date. More to come soon.
The two day festival takes place in Atlanta’s Central Park on October 26 and 27. Headliners announced for 2024 include Gunna, Jill Scott, Method Man & Redman, Glorilla, Keyshia Cole, Sexxy Red, and more.
