BELMONT PARK, NY (CelebrityAccess) — UBS Arena and the New York Islanders announced a new partnership with Viam, an engineering platform that leverages AI, data and automation.
Under the terms of the partnership, Viam will become the first-ever Official AI Technology Partner of UBS Arena and the Islanders.
Additionally, the company’s software technology will be integrated will be integrated into UBS Arena, including multiple fan-facing aspects of the venue, including crowd control, concessions and restrooms and optimizing driving patterns for cars and shuttle services.
The partnership will also see Viam become the Official Helmet Partner of the Islanders, with the Viam logo prominently displayed exclusively on the team’s helmets for both home and away games.
Launched in 2020 by Eliot Horowitz, former co-founder and CTO of publicly-traded database giant MongoDB, Viam’s technology platform allows the development of bespoke solutions that can be implemented on smart devices. The company’s portfolio of customers straddles diverse verticles that include robotics, food and beverage, climate tech, marine, and industrial manufacturing, among others.
