NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) – Big Machine Records has officially signed Jack Wharff & The Tobacco Flatts, a rising bluegrass and country band hailing from Richmond, Virginia. Their debut track, “Picture Perfect,” was released today under the label, adding them to a star-studded roster that includes Tim McGraw, Carly Pearce, and Midland.
Scott Borchetta, Big Machine Label Group’s Chairman & CEO, expressed his excitement about the signing, saying, “I cannot wait for the world to experience Jack Wharff & The Tobacco Flatts. Led by 21-year-old Jack Wharff, the band blends bluegrass, country, and rock into a unique sound. Wharff, influenced by his father’s bluegrass band, The Slack Family, began writing music as a teenager to capture the emotions of his past. In 2023, Wharff met drummer Garrett Howell and bassist Ryan Atchison at an open mic night, which led to the formation of The Tobacco Flatts. Guitarist Evan Novoa joined soon after, and the band has gained momentum through viral posts on TikTok and Reels.

Co-written by Wharff, Brian Bunn, Tyler Woodward, Ben Wagner, and The Tobacco Flatts members Ryan Atchison and Garrett Howell, the song’s tender lyrics are paired with Wharff’s raspy vocals and banjo melodies.
