LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Sphere Entertainment Co., operators of the Sphere in Las Vegas, announced the hire of Robert Langer for the role of Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, effective January 13.
In his new role, Mr. Langer will oversee financial matters for the company, including planning, analysis, sand business development, while coordinating with the rest of the company’s leadership team on strategy. He will be based in the company’s Los Angeles offices and report directly to Sphere Entertainment’s Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, James L. Dolan.

Mr. Langer joins Sphere Entertainment from The Walt Disney Company where he most recently served as Global Leader of Enterprise-Wide Financial Planning and Corporate Strategy. His extensive resume also includes past roles at ABC Television Group, Disney Consumer Products, Disneyland Resort, and Disney Global Toys. He also served as senior case leader at The Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on servcing clients across the consumer products, retail, and media sectors.
Mr. Langer is a graduate of University of Munich and successfully pursued an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
