NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — 12th & Porter music club in Nashville has closed its doors after a deal with financial backers failed to finalize their agreements.
The club has faced significant financial challenges of late and filed for chapter 11 protection last spring. At that time, a local music manager Frank Dileo came on board with an eye to becoming a partner who could help clear up the club's debts but his recent announcement that he was dropping his financial backing for the venue appears to have sealed its fate.
The two co-owners, Paula Willigar and Jennifer Lee are looking into other options but at present, the doors are closed and the sound system has been removed from the club.
The club originally opened in 1984 became a popular destination for artists and music fans alike in the local and national music scene. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
