AC/DC Date In Bucharest Falsely Advertised

BUCHAREST , Romania (VIP-NEWS) — AC/DC has issued a statement denying that the band is appearing at a Romanian festival in May, as advertised by organizers in Bucharest.

The Anglo-Australian rock act opened the U.K. leg of its "Black Ice" tour on April 14 at the O2 arena in London, with a second sold-out date on April 16th.

"Promoters in Bucharest, Romania have been falsely advertising AC/DC as the headliner for their two-day Bucharest Rock Arena festival, happening on May 30 and 31, 2009," said a statement on the band's official Web site. "AC/DC fans are encouraged to visit the band's official Web site for a list of all sanctioned concerts."

Tickets for this event have been available online as well as at various retail outlets in Bucharest.

AC/DC will complete another 20 European dates before returning to the U.S. for a tour which kicks off on July 28 in Foxborough, MA. According to Billboard
