LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Adele dominated the 2016 Brit Awards, taking home four trophies, including wins for Best Single, Best Female Solo Artist and Album of the Year.
Other winners on the night included Coldplay, who won the award for Best British Group; James Bay, who took home the prize for British Male Solo Artist and Australian pyschelic rock group Tame Impala, who won Best International Group.
Performances for the night included Adele, who closed out the show with a performance of When We Were Young and an emotional tribute to fallen rock idol David Bowie. Led by Annie Lennox and Bowie's friend Gary Oldman, the tribute saw Bowie described as a "a quintessential visionary" and "the ultimate iconoclast."
Bowie's former bandmates performed a medley of his hits and were joined by New Zealand singer Lorde for a rendition of Life On Mars.
Canadian singer Justin Bieber, who performed his hits "Love Yourself" and "Sorry" took home the award for Best International Male Artist.
The ceremony, held at London's O2 Arena, was broadcast live on ITV and live updates were carried by the BBC.
