Adelphi University's New PAC To Open

AMHERST, NY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Adelphi University's new Adelphi Performing Arts Center will officially be open for business on September 27th, marking the occasion with a 6-day run of the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical "Rent." "Rent" begins on September 23 and ends on September 28.

The new $30-million, 53,000-square-foot facility features a 500 seat concert hall, a 100 seat recital hall, the 120 seat "Black Box" theater and a 187 seat dance theatre that can convert into two studios.

The new venues have been built adjacent to the venerable Olmsted, which got a refurb as well with new scene and costume shops.

The opening will be marked by 3 gala events, one for each artistic discipline housed at the new PAC.
