(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The B-52’s have issued a statement saying that they have pulled all European dates, including the 02 Wireless Festival in London’s Hyde Park on June 22nd, and Shepherds Bush Empire on June 29th.
The band released the statement on their website, saying “The B-52’s have had to make the very tough decision to withdraw from their European summer touring plans. At present they are deeply involved in the writing of their next album, and they have become so excited with its progress that they now feel quite strongly about not wanting to disrupt their momentum.
“The band is sorry to disappoint all their fans and the promoters who have been eagerly anticipating their return to Europe. They are very much looking forward to presenting and touring behind their new album in early 2007.”
The legendary dance pop band’s new release will be their first official studio album since 1992’s “Good Stuff.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
