Bad Checks Passed By Former Comstock Owner

COMSTOCK, NE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Broken Bow Henry Nuxoll, the founder of Comstock's annual music festivals, will stand trial on felony bad check charges on June 17 and 18 in Custer County District Court.

Nuxoll was charged in September with writing bad checks in excess of $1,500, a Class 3 felony.

Nuxoll formerly owned the 2nd Wind Ranch near Comstock and has run the Comstock Windmill Festival, a country music event, there annually since 2000. Comstock Rock was added in 2002 and Godstock a year later.

He was charged with writing bad checks to pay for the Windmill Festival and Comstock Rock last June and July. The initial amount in the charge was about $100,000, though some checks have since been dropped from the case.

Nuxoll sold the ranch to Jim Trotter of Arcadia in January. Jim Proskocil of Plattsburg, Mo., announced on Monday that he now owns the land and plans to continue holding festivals there. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
