BALTIMORE, MD (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Performers SR-71 featuring Mitch Allan, Vs The Earth, Brian Desveaux from Nine Days and Kirk McEwen & The Money Brothers will be joined by Chip Z’nuff from Enuff Znuff for a charity event in honor of Jeff Reid.
Jeff Reid, 36, died of broncho-alveolar carcinoma in June of this year. Reid played bass for the band SR-71, whose debut album, “Now You See Inside” went gold in the U.S. and sold a million copies internationally.
The fundraiser, dubbed Honor Among Friends: A Tribute to Jeff Reid is scheduled to take place at the Thunderdome in Baltimore on November 14th. Tickets are $20 and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the St. Agnes Cancer Center, where Reid was looked after during his illness.
To further raise money for St. Agnes, there will be a rock ‘n roll memorabilia auction featuring collectibles such as a signed Motley Crue plaque, an autographed guitar from Dave Mustaine of Megadeth and a signed guitar from KISS. Also available to bid on are rare photographs and signed CD collections by Reid’s favorite artists including Queen, Duran Duran and Neil Young. Bids are being accepted online at http://www.honoramongfriends.com. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
