NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — A ambient-electronic group discontent with the revenue from current streaming services has a created a web app designed to generate royalties.
The app, Eternify, puts an artists songs on endless repeat, playing each song for just the 30 second span required to be considered a listen and generate royalties.
The pop group, New York-based Ohm & Sport created the app after finding the current streaming model to be less than ideal, telling the BBC that it was "virtually worthless" for musicians.
Spotify is looking into the app to make sure that it follows the streaming music providers terms of service. – Staff Writers
