Promoters of Auckland, New Zealand's annual Big Day Out rock festival announced new safety measures for next year's event following the moshpit death of a teenage girl at the Sydney, Australia show this year.
There will be an age restriction of 15, which allows those under 15 to attend with a parent or guardian, and the barriers in front of the main stages have been redesigned. Concertgoers will each receive a "survival pack" including a refillable water bottle and other items.
Show promoters are also hoping to attract an older crowd with a band line-up of bands "which have stood the test of time," rather than the flavor-of-the-month variety, including New Order, Prodigy, NOFX, Crystal Method and English techno DJ Dave Clarke.
Additional acts will be announced in November.
