PARIS (CelebrityAccess) — BMG Production Music announced that it has acquired French independent music library/production company AXS Music.
Founded in Paris in by Axel von Hueck to provide film, TV, and radio licensing, the company maintains three catalogs, including their main series, as well as AXS Doc and the world-music focused AXS World.
Following the acqusition Von Hueck will exit the company while Managing Director Jérôme Keff will lead the company's French operations. In the UK, John Clifford has been named Senior Vice President of BMG Production Music U.K. and will report to BMG Production Music worldwide Managing Director Geert-Willem Koolhof.
“I am delighted to welcome John and Jérôme to BMG Production Music. These are senior appointments which reflect our philosophy of combining deep music expertise with a commitment to ensuring our clients get the service and music they need,” Koolhof said.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
