Bresler Joins AEG Live


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Veteran venue booking and marketing executive Eric Bresler will join AEG as Vice President, Event Booking and Development, AEG Facilities it was confirmed by Bob Newman, Chief Operating Officer, AEG Facilities.

Based in Los Angeles in the organization's downtown headquarters, Bresler will coordinate bookings, track venue availabilities, and manage an overall event database for all of the venues booked and managed by AEG Facilities. In the newly created position, Bresler, who spent the last eight years as Vice President, Arena Bookings and Marketing for Miami's American Airlines Arena, will also represent the division in negotiating block bookings and other transactions with promoters as well as event producers and planners.

Additionally, Bresler will serve as a "conduit" between the organization's facilities division and live entertainment division AEG LIVE while supervising the day-to-day activities of the Director, Marketing, AEG Facilities.

"Eric's reputation throughout our industry, his many years of associations with top-level venues and his extensive industry relationships makes him an ideal person to join AEG Facilities," said Newman. "He has consistently booked events from a very diverse group of event planners and promoters and successfully maximized event activity at all of the arenas he has represented."

Also announced was the promotion of Jay Cooper to Vice President, Operations, AEG Facilities. In the new position, Cooper will provide oversight in addition to overseeing the implementation of policies and 'best practices' for all newly developed and managed venues as well as existing facilities controlled by the company including Target Center the Prudential Center, set to open this fall in Newark, New Jersey and Citizen's Bank Arena set to open in Fall 2008 in Ontario, California.

"I am very excited to become part of their respected 'team' and to help take the 'AEG recipe for success' into new venues while helping to expand the AEG Facilities network."

Having recently acquired management contracts for several well know facilities including Target Center (Minneapolis, MN), Kemper Arena (Kansas City, Missouri) and The Hartford Civic Center and Rentschler Field (both in East Hartford, CT), Newman commented, "With the recent growth of AEG Facilities, our most important objective continues to be assembling a roster of the best venues while growing an already experienced and respected management team."

Transitioning from other positions within AEG to the expanding department are Natalie Vo Bombet who will assume the position of Director, Marketing and Patricia Sonsini who was named Project Manager, AEG Facilities.

Bombet, who first joined AEG in 1999 as Marketing Manager, Staples Center will now focus on developing and implementing creative marketing services throughout the network of venues controlled by AEG Facilities. She will also support venue branding and ticket sales initiatives.

Sonsini, with AEG since 1999 will provide creative and technical support for all of the programs and initiatives launched by AEG Facilities both to colleagues within AEG as well as to executives based on-site at venues within AEG's network. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
