(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — As pianist Jim Brickman played at the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on July 23rd, the rain poured down. So Brickman offered fans a once-in-a-lifetime seating opportunity.
“Anyone who wants to come up here on stage with us is welcome,” Brickman told the crowd, a few songs into the show.
“I don’t want a mad rush,” he told the soaked fans,” but if you want to stay dry, come on up.”
About 100 concertgoers without rain gear took advantage of the offer, concert promoter Kevin Brady told The Grand Rapids Press.
“It was incredible,” Brady told the paper. “I think a lot of people who were there will remember this one as their favorite concert ever, because of the circumstances.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
