TORONTO, Ontario (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation Canada has sealed a deal with Budweiser that will see the Amphitheatre at Ontario Place, renamed as the Budweiser Stage beginning in 2017.
The multi-year agreement will also entail some key changes to the amphitheatre, including new concession locations, physical refurbs of the current concession locations and the addition of cashless payment options at point-of-sale locations with tap, chip and pin, and mobile payment apps.
The deal is part of a larger push into the live space by Budweiser in recent years. Other live music sponsorships for the beermaker include Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, as well as at select Live Nation concerts and festivals, including Trackside in London, Ontario, and One Love in Calgary, Alberta.
“The amphitheatre at Ontario Place has been a landmark entertainment destination for the Ontario and Toronto communities for years,” said John May, president, media and corporate partnerships, Live Nation Canada. “With the upgrades to Budweiser Stage, we look forward to enhancing the concert experience for the fans as we continue to fulfill our mission of connecting fans with the artists they love.” – Staff Writers
