Clown Posse Turns Violent

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — According to KOBTV close to 40 people were arrested outside the Albuquerque Convention Center on November 7th.

A crowd of about 3,000 people waiting for the Insane Clown Posse concert to begin turned violent, resulting in a confrontation with the SWAT team. “People that started screaming, swearing and rock throwing, basically inciting a riot,” Gene Campbell of the Albuquerque Police Department told the news channel.

In order to control the crows until the show began, the SWAT team used mace and tazers on those perceived to be fueling the violence. “You know, if we didn’t act, someone gets hurt or killed, and so we’re taking the lesser of two evils,” Campbell told KOBTV in defense of the police response.

Once the concert began – an hour behind schedule – things quieted down, although the SWAT team remained outside the venue until the end of the show. Despite the arrests there were no injuries reported. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
