KINGSTON DOWNS, Georgia (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for the electronic music festival Counterpoint announced that the festival would not be taking place this year.
In a statement posted to the festival's Facebook page, organizers wrote:
"Sadly, CounterPoint will not be returning to Kingston Downs this Spring. Rest assured we are working on several options concerning the festival's return. As the year continues we ask that you remember to embody the ideals the festival was founded on: break out of the mold, continue to think differently and always, always be the CounterPoint."
First launched in the heady days of 2012, the festival, usually held at the end of May in Kingston Downs, struggled to find its feet, and was forced to go on a hiatus in 2012.
The festival returned in 2014 and 2015, but had been beset by rumors that it may not take place this year. In this case, the rumors appear to have been well-founded. – Staff Writers
