(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Following in the successful trend of the Jam Cruise and the Rock Boat, Dave Matthews has invited members of the band's fan club, the Warehouse, to join him for the Dave Matthews & Friends Caribbean Cruise Getaway, a music cruise to a secret island destination in the Bahamas in February of 2006.
The cruise, which will be on two eco-friendly ships, the Majesty of the Seas and the Sovereign of the Seas, will feature multiple jam bands who will perform on both ships as well as a performance by Dave Matthews & Friends on the secret island destination.
Already confirmed to play on the trip are Bob Weir and Ratdog, G. Love and Special Sauce, Toots and the Maytals, Ozomatli, Mike Doughty’s Band, North Mississippi Allstars, John Brown’s Body, Mofro, and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. More acts are expected to be announced.
The weekend trip will allow guests to see their favorite acts in a unique setting, while surrounded by exciting events, gourmet cuisine, and a long list of complimentary amenities.
Tickets were released on Monday, October 31st, to Warehouse members, who reportedly filled 50% of the available cabin space on the first day, becoming the fastest selling music cruise to date. Reservations are still available, to Warehouse members and their friends, on the cruise website at www.cruise.davematthewsband.com.
The boats leave from Port Canaveral and Miami, Florida on Friday, February 3, 2006. Saturday will see the boats land at the island of Nassau, from which guests will be ferried to a secret island carefully selected to provide fans with the best the Bahamas have to offer and the concert experience of a lifetime. On Sunday, the cruise ships will take guests to the Royal Caribbean’s private island, CocoCay, which provides activities such as nature trails, aquatic facilities, parasailing and snorkeling. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
