Disney Says No To Daath

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Metal band Daath is the latest to join the ranks of bands who've been prevented from performing at House of Blues venues associated with Disney properties.

According to metal-news site The Gauntlet, the band had been slated to perform at the Anaheim HoB with Dragonforce and Cynic but Daath has been dropped from the lineup. The band will rejoin their compatriots for the April 17 show at the Knitting Factory in Boise.

While the HoB chain is owned by Live Nation, the Anaheim and Orlando outlets for the venue chain are on Disney property and the company has developed a history of disincluding bands that have a focus on dark themes/imagery. Other bands who've gotten the Disney boot include Snot at the Orlando HoB and 2007 Black Tyranny Tour date by metal bands Machine Head and Arch Enemy at the Anaheim HoB. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
