LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — As the bitter winter ice melts, The Icicle Works will be gearing up to heat the stage and hit the road.
The Icicle Works has announced the dates for its "30th Anniversary Tour" this spring in the UK.
The band rose to fame in 1983 when they scored two major hit singles "Birds Fly Whisper to a Scream" and "Love is a Wonderful Color," both which topped the charts in the UK and UK, respectively.
The Icicle Works released four albums between 1983 – 1988, all achieving top forty placing, until they broke up immediately after their swan-song Blind.
While frontman Ian McNabb went on to record one more album under the name 'The Icicle Works,' Chris Layhe (bass & vocals) moved on and Chris Sharrock (drums) joined Oasis.
Ian and The Icicle Works will be touring the UK extensively in 2011 for their 30th Anniversary and will be coming to the following cities:
4/29 – Manchester Club Academy – Manchester, UK
4/30 – Liverpool O2 Academy – Liverpool, UK
5/6 – London O2 Academy – Islington, UK
5/7 – Birmingham O2 Academy 2 – Birmingham, UK
