Foo Fighters Cancel Tour Following Grohl's Leg Injury

GOTHENBURG, Sweden (CelebrityAccess) — The Foo Fighters have canceled the remainder of their tour of UK/Europe due to injuries sustained by the band's frontman Dave Grohl during their June 12 show at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden.

According to a statement from the band, Grohl underwent surgery to address his leg injury and the rest of the tour was canceled on orders from his doctor.

A video from the incident shows Grohl on stage following the fall, with medics attending to his leg. At the time, he told the crowd that he was going to receive medical attention, but pledged to come back and complete the concert. True to his word, Grohl returned a short time later and did the rest of the show from a chair with a bandage visible on his leg.

The band previously canceled shows at the Pinkpop Festival as well as their June 16 show at the AFG Arena in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Newly announced dates include:

June 19 & 20 – London, UK – Wembley Stadium

June 23 – Edinburgh, UK – BT Murrayfield Stadium

June 25 – Werchter, Belgium – Festivalpark Werchter

June 26 – Glastonbury Festival 2015
