Fred Rosen Enters Secondary Ticket Market

TORONTO, ON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Fred Rosen has re-entered the ticketing industry as Chairman of the Board of AudienceView, a new company in the secondary ticket market, based in Toronto.

Rosen was the CEO of Ticketmaster from 1982 to 1998 and instrumental in building Ticketmaster from a small startup into the world’s leading computerized ticketing service with more than $2.4 billion in annual ticket sales.

“More than ever, venues want to be empowered," said Rosen. "The dominance of the internet and the flexibility of today’s market now give us the opportunity to introduce a new ticketing model. There’s been a significant shift in what venues are looking for in the marketplace. I’ve come on board to reshape the way we see ticketing and the way we understand customers."

AudienceView, founded in 2002, provides advanced and flexible ticketing services to arenas, stadiums, arts venues, and theaters worldwide, and gives venues the freedom to set their own service charges, interact directly with their audience, and control their venue and event data. It has expanded to include more than 80 clients and 120+ venues throughout North America, the UK, and Asia.

“Fred Rosen’s influence on the ticketing industry is monumental,” said AudienceView co-founder Kevin Kimsa. “His proven success is matched by a clear vision for this company and he will no doubt make a strong impact at AudienceView and within the industry going forward.”– Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
