NEW YORK (Celebrityaccess Mediafire) — Industry veteran Steve Goodgold has signed on with the Windish agency as the firm's newest agent.
Formerly of Chaotica and Vital Talent, Goodgold will bring with him his strong roster of electronic artists and DJs, including Adam Freeland, Black Ghosts, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Midnight Juggernauts, Paul Oakenfold, and Sasha.
Steve took a moment to talk with CelebrityAccess about his new position:
What made you decide to join with the Windish Agency?
I had been in one place for ten years, and I felt it was time for a change in my life. If nothing else, I was ready to see things from a different perspective. Tom and I have always been close business associates, and we have very similar visions. When the opportunity presented itself for us to join forces, it just seemed like a perfect fit. It was extremely difficult leaving people I have been around for a long period of time; I will miss them. But, I am tremendously excited about being a part of the Windish team. They are all great people and very hard workers and they have welcomed me with very open arms.
What advantages do you think that the Windish agency will bring to your clients?
The Windish Agency has become, in my opinion, the leader in the market for cutting edge music. Because of the combination of their amazing client list and their high-level business ethics, unique opportunities present themselves on a daily basis, and this is something that my clients will be able to prosper from. Plus we have a lot of creative minds under one roof that are constantly thinking of new ways to provide for our clients.
You've got a lot of top names in dance music on your roster. Are you focusing on established talent or are you working on developing artists as well?
I am doing both really. There is a lot of great music out there right now. So while I am focusing on my current roster, I am always looking for something new that blows me away. I think as agents we all do that, for the most part.
