LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Hard Rock International and Live Nation announced that Sir Paul McCartney will be headlining Hard Rock Calling 2010 on Sunday, June 27th in Hyde Park, London. McCartney joins Pearl Jam as the headliners at Hard Rock Calling, the premier music festival this summer. Hard Rock Calling 2010 will launch Hard Rock International’s fifth annual Ambassadors of Rock Tour, a global concert series featuring top artists and bands to benefit charities worldwide.
Hard Rock Calling 2010 will be McCartney’s first solo headlining performance in Hyde Park, having appeared at 2005’s Live 8 Concert and most recently, surprising fans last summer at Hard Rock Calling 2009 during Neil Young’s set, performing The Beatles anthem ‘A Day In the Life.’
Hard Rock Calling promises three days of unparalleled music, Hard Rock Calling 2010 will feature performances by The Hives, The Gaslight Anthem, Ben Harper and Relentless7 and Wolfmother with additional top acts to be announced this spring.
