NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is continuing to recover after experiencing an undisclosed medical emergency while performing with his side project The Hollywood Vampires in Coney Island on Sunday night.
Video of the incident showed the 65-year-old Perry appear to grow unsteady on his feet and move to sit briefly on the riser for the drum set before staggering backstage where he collapsed. He was reportedly revived by paramedics and then transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The band subsequently canceled an appearance on Late Night with Stephen Colbert, but the rest of the Hollywood Vampires resumed their tour on Tuesday night sans Perry with a show at Fraze Pavilion in Kettering, Ohio.
On Tuesday a representative for Hollywood Vampires said Perry was “doing well” and resting, suggesting that he would be rejoining them 'soon'. – Staff Writers
