Johnson New Director Of Orlando's Centroplex

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — After a nationawide search, industry veteran Allen Johnson has been named the new director of the city of Orlando's Centroplex. Johnson, who assumes the position on September 27, replaces longtime director Bill Becker, who retired earlier this year.

Since 1988, Johnson has been the executive director of The Lakeland Center in Lakeland, FL.

Johnson's previous positions include assistant director of the West Palm Beach Auditorium and Stadium in West Palm Beach, event coordinator with the Orange County Convention Center and box office manager/event supervisor with the Tupperware Convention Center.

The Centroplex includes the TD Waterhouse Centre — home to the Orlando Magic — the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre, Expo Centre, Florida Citrus Bowl and Tinker Field. — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
